For Primary 6 - 7 pupils
Max in the Middle is a week-long experiential Health & Well-being project for pupils in Primary 6 - 7 in the Forth Valley area. The project encompasses drama, dance, and cookery, and encourages the children to think about being active in making choices for health and happiness. Our residency in each school concludes with a performance for an invited audience of parents, carers and members of the local community.
This project regularly involves partnership work with various groups, for example, parental volunteers, community initiatives, Falkirk Active Schools and other NHS departments.

For Primary 7 pupils
Over two days, we ran Alcohol and Cigarette awareness workshops for thirteen Primary 7 classes in the Forth Valley area. Each class joined us for one of the two days, with sessions jointly facilitated by the Inter-Act Drama Workers and the Class Teachers who participated in our pre-project training session.

For S3 pupils
Over the course of four weeks I worked with a group of ten S3 pupils who were having difficulty engaging with school. We worked outside of the school campus, using drama to improve their confidence and develop their skills. The group went on to make short films and video diaries about their school experiences.

For Primary 6 - 7 pupils
In February and March 2007, I co-delivered this workshop tour throughout Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire. Max In The Middle involved Primary 6/7 pupils in a gameshow-style drama workshop which looked at issues of health, body-image and happiness. This ran as part of a pilot project, and went on to be developed in to a week-long progamme for each class.
